Board Member. Research Fellow for the Conservation Medicine Program, School of Veterinary Science Murdoch University and Regional Veterinary Officer for the Zoo and Aquarium Association. Andrea has extensive experience in veterinary care, research, management and translocation of wildlife and zoo animals and is currently leading a collaborative research project investigating the potential role of disease in small mammal population declines in Northern Australia. Other recent conservation projects have included working with Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve, the ACT government and Australian National University on reintroduction of the eastern bettong to mainland Australia. She holds a MVS in Zoo and Wildlife Medicine from Melbourne University, is a member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Medicine of Australasian Wildlife, and has worked as a clinical veterinarian at Melbourne Zoo, Taronga Zoo and Perth Zoo. She is current Chair of the Wildlife Diseases Association, Australasia Section and is Co-Editor of National Zoo Biosecurity Manual.
